Jackie Robinson
Jackie Robinson Jackson Roosevelt Robinson was brought to the life in 1919, and he spent most of his childhood in Pasadena. While he was at University of California and in high school he established a positive reputation through the rectitude of baseball, basketball, football, and track. Robinson left college to support his mother, but in 1941 played qualified football with the Los Angeles Bulldogs of the Pacific Coast League. Jackie Robinson also contracted into the military, but in an unsettled argument between a white superior, was quitted, when he was a lieutenant. During October, 1945, he was retained to compete for the Montreal Royals, a Brooklyn Farm Club in the International league by Branch Rickey, the premier of the Brooklyn Dodgers at that time. In 1947 the record was broken when Robinson was brought to the Brooklyn Club. Before that African Americans were not allowed to play in the major leagues. Not only was he the first major league African American, he won the league batting crown. 1962, Robinson was inducted into the Baseball hall of fame. Thank you for reading-
